Are these log tongs?

    I picked these up at a flea market today, they appear hand made.

    They look like log tongs to me Uni. Real beefy too.

    I've seen a bunch of much smaller diameter steel ones that I was sure were for ice. This is the first one of this size I've found.

    They look handmade also. Not perfectly symmetrical, but very well executed. Those look really nice.

    They look like vertical lifting tongs.
    An Engineer's educated guess, because all horizontal log or brush grubber style tongs have a fixed pivot point so as the log does not loosen while being dragged due to jaw-connective joint loosening.
    Nice looking hand-made piece though.
    They look too nice to even use. I'd hang them up on a wall somewhere.
