bigwoodporn started a great thread on the Firewood Hoarders proboards forum:

I am now the happy owner of that Fiskars x27.

Ironically, I had a Fiskars x27 on my Amazon wish list, and I received an Amazon Gift Card recently that I was going to use to pick one up.

So, I'm going to "pay it forward" with an Amazon $50 Gift Card. To enter for a chance, simply post "in" on this thread.

With the assistance of the mods to assure impartiality, a post # will be chosen at random on 10/17/13 in the AM and I will let everyone know who is the winner and get it sent out.

    This is a great idea!!

That was extremely thoughtful of BWP and also Mike from Maine had one with a Moisture meter.

I have a few things that I will soon be "giving up" in a Karma thread.

Good luck folks and Thank you BWP, Mike from Maine, and BrianK.

Great idea, great thread, great all around. I have lots and lots of trinkets I could pay forward in here....maybe, down the road, even a saw or two (older ones, but they DO run, and run good).

We've got some real talent in the forums already. I'm not going to outright volunteer names, but we have some great craftsmen in here.....woodcarvers, carpenters, blacksmiths, etc......I'm sure some of those guys would probably get in on the action too...

So this thread is to be a sticky, maybe even modify it into a sub-forum down the road....

I couldn't find anyone to give my moisture meter to... Maybe we can start a free loaner program -- if someone needs one or wants to try one out I can send it -- and they can keep it for a while before sending it on to the next person.

(Edit: Item has been spoken for)

    I'll throw one out there.

I have a Thermguard from Bear Mountain Designs. It can be used to run a circulation pump on a hot water system, turn on a furnace blower, pretty much anything that can be run off a contact closure. It can be programmed to close the contact at different intervals. I bought it years ago with the intention of using it to turn my furnace blower on and off every half hour to move air around the house and found out that the relay on my furnace didn't play well with it after talking with their support people. Back in the box it went with intentions to return it but never did. Still in original packaging. The battery is dead now, but it's otherwise like new.

Might be handy for someone with hot water heat that needs to circulate water in a specific zone.

If anyone has a use, let me know and it's yours.

Karma is a (or could be a), sub forum where people that have unwanted items of value, be it high or low, that want to pay forward to a person in need or want of said item.

    I don't think mini-macs fit the criteriao_O

I've never had the pleasure of being inside a mini mac, but those who have are never the same again
