    Turned the furnace on again. It's in the 30's which isn't bad, but the wind is howling out of the northeast, and I'm just close enough to Lake Erie to get the chill when the winds come off the bay. The north side of the house was downright chilly even with the CPM running. I got spoiled this winter with the whole "even heat from room to room" thing with the furnace.

    It is chilly out there. No doubt!!

    Just put a bag of these bad boys in!! I thought they would be shorter, but even being a longer than average pellet, they are HOT!! :)

    But only after this girls 2nd cleaning this season. I don't know how many I burned, or exactly when the last time I cleaned it. But I know it's been a looooong time. I love this stove.

    I should have cleaned a small spot on the exchanger to show how thick and caked on that ash is.. She was still putting out great heat before this cleaning. I still did not empty the ash pan... Just a quick clean to make sure that the exchange system was clean (so I can accurately measure my convection temps on these new pellets )

    Got our Van back today. It has been waiting at the dealer since 19 march. Parts and insurance coordination issues. I think the service managet had no clue how to do an insurance claim.
    Our oil furnace is being removed soon. In its place will be a hot water gas fired condensing unit. Needed the space for a new handicap access bath and laundry. Plus wanted to get rid of all the overhead ductwork. Should be nice when it is all done.
