Got some wood today.

    Hey, had a tree guy call and he wants to clean some wood out of his yard, it's a mix of hard maple, oak, and some mulberry. there is still a couple more loads I could get outta there.

    Yeah man.. I live in NJ and his yard is in Staten Island where I work, so everyday after work I'm gonna stop there till its gone. He said I'm next on the list for a delivery too.. I'm up to my eyeballs in wood!!

    Mighty good catch there and good species too! Ya say you're " up to your eyeballs in wood" - hey that doesn't sound like a bad problem to me at all...

    Thanks, I hope I get more too, but I blew out my back lifting those rounds in the truck the other day, so I'm outta commission for a few days. I did manage to split some up very carefully today... No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to sit idle to long.

    Oh, can anyone tell me what type of oak that is? It's the one in the left. It's more stringy than the red oak I have, and smells different. It's nice stuff, Id like to have more of it.
