Going to sell a MS261 that I bought new 2 years ago. Still in great condition and runs great. Has a 20 inch bar and 5 extra chains. Would 475.00 be a fair price ??

I think it's near the top end, but the five chains help. Are they stihl chains?

You'd be better off posting it here, I think. You'd get a bunch of lowballers front craigslist.

Yes they are all Stihl chains. All are full chisel but one I believe.

If it's 2 years old it's a Carb model and not Mtronic. As Jeff said, I think that is the top of the market for that saw.

Got any pics? Good condition will help your pricing a lot.

LOL. I wouldn't sell the 046 for 800.00 !! A guy I used to work with bought it new and cut 3 rick of wood with it. He decided cutting wood was too much work. Sat in his garage for 2 years and I bought it in 2005 for 250.00. Never had a scratch on it !!!! Hands down best saw I have ever owned.

Nice!!! :dex: That is a beauty!!

Stock muffler as well! If you wanted some extra power out of that baby, you can add the factory dual port front cover an unlock some added HP. Ebay also has some aftermarket dual ports for super cheap.
