Pellets direct is advertising DF for $309 early buy. They are making money at that price I am sure. Whatever strategy works. Sell more at lower prices or sell less at higher prices.
This is too funny....maybe some innuendos? . Pack your saddle ride past the big bad bear ride over Mount Olympus and blaze your trail to the East Coast. This Douglas Fir pellet deal will not last. Packsaddle Pellets Bear Mountain Olympus Pellets Blazers
Packsaddle is out of Lyons, OR made by Frank Lunber Co. They are small enough to do one-off deals. On their web site: "If you are interested in participating as a distributor or wholesaler, please contact Robin Derrick at 503-897-2371 to discuss price, volume and delivery options." Bear Mtn. I posted above, they have several plants in Oregon. Biggest pellet producer in the states now that they merged with Lignin. Way too big to get near. Blazer is out of Oregon as well, West Oregon Wood Products. Big producer. Too big to deal with on a one-off deal. Olympus, Cascade and Sierra are all made by Olympus Pellets in Sheldon, WA. Small enough to do a wholesale deal there as well. They are also targeted at west coast retail sales, so there would be no one's toes being stepped on in NE buying a large shipment from them. Olympus product or sales questions contact: [email protected] I am serious guys. You can buy and have them shipped wholesale. Yah, its gonna be a big lot of pellets. But you want wholesale process, this is how you can do it. Or just keep complaining about the prices here on this thread and I will keep telling you how cheap they are out here.
I used to LOVE going to Boston on business. Food wise that is. We used to eat lunch at Legal Seafood. There was a great dinner place in Worchester, I forget the name. Also anywhere on Salem Street in Boston. I could eat and die there. Oh, and there was a Rev War farmhouse type place out toward, hell, forget where it was, out toward Bedford. I ate there as often as I could. Pork chops 2 inches thick. Lobstah lasagna. Clam Chowdah. I gained weight every trip out there. It was all paid for on per diem!
That's a sore subject. The cracked tooth could not be saved and was pulled 4 weeks ago. Now healing and waiting for the implant portion to begin in late April. $$$$ On top of that a second tooth broke on the opposite side and guess what-it broke below the gum line and cant be capped even though there is plenty of solid tooth left. Its the back molar and the dentist said if it were him, no implant-just pull it and leave it. For now I am just leaving it be as there is no rush and I can chew just fine with it broken. Cant leave for good as the risk of infection is there.
I take it the Penningtons you picked up are not the ones depicted on Walmart's website, where it says they are "Made from premium quality oak hardwood"?
Concerning Pure Fire pellets at TSC: Burned a couple bags so far. It's a bit difficult to judge how much heat these produce as temps have been 40's + 50's but if you need pellets I've no complaints. Very dark ash in the burn pot but the ash is soft, the glass is very clean. There is little to no carbon build up on the burn pot after 2 bags. I would buy them again. That being said it seems from the other reviews I've read, those with Harman stoves seem to like'em and those with other makes have less than desirable comments. By the way, the PF's are apparently produced by Dry Creek Pellet co.
They are burning just fine. I burned about two bags in the West Point and am almost through a bag in the Englander. It's a bit early to call but I would say the ash level is going to be right around a MWP. They also seem to be feeding a whole lot better in the Englander as well. I am running the hopper out as we speak waiting to do a cleaning and it just keeps going. I will update my Hopper slide thread when it runs out.
Took a ride to the big city of Augusta to see if any pellets were available at HD. On a whim, I decided to stop at WalMart first, even though I hate the place. They were selling MWP's at $219 ton/$4.38 bag early in the year but I haven't seen any sign that they were still selling them. I was wrong. They were still selling the MWP's at the same price and have been all winter. It's a good thing I didn't know that because I would still have 8 tons in my basement instead of the 5 tons I have now. As it is I had to buy 10 bags, I didn't want to drive in there for nothing. At least that's what I told myself. I did continue on to HD to see what they had. They were selling Freedom Fuel at $239 ton/ $4.98 bag. I smiled to myself as I walked back to my truck.
