Local Murdochs had about 20 pallets of .22lr not too long ago. Sure 'nuff- out of .22. So I picked up some .45LC +p instead. But dang, that went quick.
Just wish it's little 40gr. hobbit brother was still available. Didn't think they'd go through 20 pallets in 3 months, but they did. Once word got out, I bet they saw a lot of familiar faces on a daily basis.
I’ve heard rumors of Field and Stream getting pallets of .22lr on a regular basis. I happened upon 2 fresh pallets of it last March checking out the store during my lunch break and bought the limit, which was two 500 packs. I called a buddy to let him know, and by 4 that day when he got off work they were all gone. Word gets out, and they go fast! And I hate to complain since I was lucky enough to find some, but it was Remington Golden bullets. That’s the only round that jams in a couple of my guns!!
.22LR are like gold around my area as well. If the local store gets a shipment in, they are gone the next day. They only allow 4boxes per person, but the nice lady behind the counter said all I had to do was to put them in my car and come back for more. Last October when they had them in stock, I made the return trip back into the store 6 times for a total of 24-50round boxes at $1.99 a box. My kid's have already gone though almost 15 boxes, they love shooting targets with that gun.
Walked in a little gunshop yesterday and....YES!!!!,CCI .22lr was on the shelf Two boxes per person. Glad I had the wife along
