Will 661 dawgs fit a 660?

I'd like to put the 661 "skeleton" style spikes on my 660 - P/N 1144-664-0502 & 0503. They should fit a 660 and other saws as well, right?

 

I've been told that they fit... but I've got a 661 R on the way and will try them on my 064, just to be sure they fit, before I order a second set.

 

Yes they fit the 066 & 660. They even fit the 441/044/440. They will fit the 064 also, according the IPL's the 044 and 064 have the same spike part numbers.

The spikes (see pic) that come on the non R handle 661, are the same part number as the the 066 & 660 spikes.

Note, I would not buy those over priced skeleton spikes on eBay for $28.00 each, I bought a set of the skeleton spikes at my local dealer, they were $14.79 each. YMMV

 

in case anyone is wondering the part numbers for the skeleton spikes are,

Inner spike - 1144 664 0503
Outer spike - 1144 664 0502

after you get them chrome plated for effect maybe 2.046oz?

The 661r dogs are actually smaller than the 066 ones ........... I was especially surprised by the inner dogs difference. It was late for me and I was dead dog tired, I will try to get a few pics of the old and new dogs together, later today after I hit the Post Office.
