    haha, BLACK WALNUT!!!

I had about an acre or more of mostly walnut, and thinned 'em out good, leaving the biggest and straightest ones to carry on, they're nice size trees, another 25 to 50 years and they'll be awesome!

most of these are walnut.....except there's a sycamore in there on the left, and a cherry on the right.....not counting all the cedar trees, plus the stack of splits on the right there is all walnut, and most of the stack to the rear there is walnut, plus I have other walnut trees about the property....there's some ash, locust, elm, and cherry in there too, that stack left of the walnut stack is all locust (in the middle there) and to the left of that is elm/cherry (I've been burnin' off that stack, that's why it's lower)

It's 35f here. And doing that darn four letter s word outside. Imagine my joy. Sawmill slats in the princess. It was SIXTY NINE degrees over by the bedroom door! The horror! I immediately got ol' princess going as soon as I got home so that the house would be warm when "she who thinks she must be obeyed" wakes up. LOL. She does like it warm.

Mama got out of bed and shivered. I said turn up the pro-pain ! :jaw::jaw::jaw::jaw::bug::bug::bug::bug:
Although half our snow is gone and temps are up , I wish it would get to the 40's or 50's for a week and get rid of this ice we have every where. I'm tired of walking around like a Pomeranian chitting crushed limestone !

It's been unusually warm here all winter. Very little snow. Temperatures have been in the 60s the last couple of weeks. Its cool in the mornings, so I usually fire up the stove for a while to warm things up in the shop. Burning a 50/50 mix of Poplar and Lodgepole pine. Looking forward to hoarding some wood this summer.
