Started the day at church and then moved on to cutting some wood. Ran down the road and cut this load and after I got it on the trailer unrealized one tire was low. I tried to pull up to my friends shed and when I made the turn it popped the tire off the bead. Anyhow he had another tire so we swapped it out for one of his and we are back on the road. I now have over 2 cords of rounds that need split and quite a few more loads to get.

Spent some time with my daughter after that shooting bow and riding the 4 wheeler and then grilled dinner.

An awesome day all around. Weather here was terrific, so i gathered a bunch of noodles and chips. Stuff for the compost heap.

Oh here was the other thing I got done. I ground off the hinge on the trailer and welded it on the opposite direction so the gate is now removable. I had been wanting to do this for the last year or two and just now got around to it. I like it much better this way.

Thank goodness he had a spare so I could get home. I may have over loaded the trailer just a bit.

There are probably 6-7 more loads like that so I am hoping to get another one after work tomorrow evening.

Primo BTU's! Well done! Other than the chilly wind, it was a beautiful day yesterday. I wasnputside all day yesterday, split around 3/4 cord or so for the evaporator and boiled off around 55 gallons of sap for another 1.5 gallons of syrup.

Cut up another load tonight. All Oak, Shagbark, and Cherry. Didn't load quite as heavy tonight but still a solid load.

Got a late start today due to the fact that it was -2f with a stiff NW wind the first part of the day. Managed to block up a sizeable amount of oak logs this afternoon though. 1 maybe 2 days and I should have everything bucked up and moved up to the splitting/stacking area. Once I get everything moved, I don't care about the mud issue.

Yeah I am kind of doing the same thing and trying to get this wood out while the fields are dry enough to not tear everything up. I was hoping to get another load tomorrow but we will have to see since they changed the forecast and are now calling for some rain tonight.

And load #3 is back at the house! I loaded this one is a bit heavy but it is all Oak, Hickory, and Beech.

Kind of bummed this is the last load I will get out for a bit as it is going to rain for the next few days. I felt like I was just getting on a roll but hopefully I can hit it again this weekend.

I meant to comment about this....... I cut the first half of this wood with my Husqvarna 555 and RS Chain and I then cut the last half with an RM Chain. I didn't care for the RM at all. I can say I won't be buying another loop of the RM that's for sure.
