Gas theft

I posted up in the chainsaw section in the pure gas thread that a gas station just down the road was adding e free gas. Well in the week or so since they added it and bought 5000 gallons someone came in and siphoned off 4000 gallons! The pump was acting up from the beginning so they never sold a drop and when the repair guy did his checks there was only about 1000 gallons in the tank.

I was talking about this with a friend and he said a ring just got busted that was using an enclosed trailer with a hatch in the floor. They were driving over the tanks and pumping out the gas while the driver was in the store buying food and lottery.

 

If you knew they weren't going to sell it to someone, it would be hilarious to let them suck up a tankful of JP-4..........................

 

Stuff like this doesn't even surprise me anymore. Shameful.

 

That's alot of trips! 4000 gallons is a lot of fuel, would take easily 8 trips.

 

Thieves. Don't want to work for it.

 

Or, pull over a septic tank, drop in their hose and suck up some #2 honey... do they make filters for that...
