I've had several of these tops, can trow away when they get junked up.
Got one for cleaning fish, one for butchering moose.
Couple different sized ones. One for painting.

Easy tabletop screw a 2x2 to one side of a left over piece of plywood.
(I rounded the edges on the router of this one, 3/4 AC plywood.)
clamp it in the Work mate
    Stable table :)

Grade A (knots pulled & plugged) on one side, grade C on the other

    Another trick:
Hack saw blade on a board to tear your sand paper to the right width for your sanding blocks

As a carpenter for 18 years I feel like I should have known that. We typically rough frame so usually use osb, cdx (now I know what that means), mdo, or mdf. In the last few years we have used a lot of AdvanTech for the subfloors. Guarantred for life if installed w/i 500 days of purchase against warping, delaminating or swelling of the seams. Keeps the floors true during the exposed time during construction. $50 a sheet here. We regularly get scolded for not using it as efficiently as they'd like, but hey, I ain't got time to cut up three scraps to cover the area of one sheet.

I've had mine for well over 15 years. I first used it to clamp wood for various projects. It than had duty as a seat at the carving bench. I think I even put a collapsable canoe seat back on it for comfort. The step at the bottom from was a nice foot rest for extended sits. It now pulls duty for holding the chop saw. The 4 little orange plastic dogs secure the saw to the bench.

Guess we both learned something. I'd call that a productive day!

I read that the x in cdx stands for exposure not exterior. The difference meaning that it is rated for limited temporary exposure, but not as a permanent exterior application. When it is permanent painted exterior that's when we use mdo. Usually use it on a porch gable that needs a little different look to break up the exterior design.

We have had one at work in a corner unused for the 9 years I have been there! It sat for close to 5 years before that too lol. For our job it's useless however I may see if I can get it for my shed.

very useful tool, I have done similiar with mine. also makes a quick mitre box stand. clamp a 2x4 in the table and add 2x4 blocks at the end for support of piece to be cut. I have used a straight 16 footer to make a nice 8 foot table each side. I would take a pic but I do not have one made right now.
