Cute little fella

Threw a 12" GB bar on my limbing saw. I have two echo limbers with 14" bars so I wanted to see how one runs with a 12.

 

I dont care if it is my echo poulan stihl husky solo TH saws they wear 12". Just what I always liked. Oh balances better for 1 handing with 12"

 

Looks alot like the last echo I picked up.

 

Never had anything but a 12 on the wee Echo 280E.That's all it can handle,anything over 6"-7" is pushing it.

 

Both of my cs3000's came with a 14. They pull it fine but it's always seemed like a little too much

Cut4fun my other echo has the two piece side and muffler cover.

 

i picked up a little 280e a little while back, i like them because they're just so small, i plan to delete the base gasket to try for a little more power and go with a 10" b/c, waiting on a recoil pulley for mine at the moment, a common issue on these saws, i've got the latest (updated) pulley on order now, should have it up and going again soon............

 

I traded this 2 owner homeowners only echo for some 3/8 chain. I hated the 280 gutless twig cutters at best. Dont take this to heart, just what I felt about it trimming the cherry and apple trees etc. Heck the 280 may have had only a 10".

 

yeah, i've read about the not so popular power output on the 280's, was hoping to make mine a little more peppy, i'm not an arborist, otherwise i wouldn't own it, but should work well on my atv for quick trail work, and it won't take up much space on the rack..........

 

The guy I traded it to loves them. It was like his #6. Said he and others use them in the orchards.
