Hey woody...theres not that much mud, for sure.
We spent the weekend down there. Couldn't believe that all the snow was gone! Didn't start seeing patches until around crivitz and north; but then it was only just a little here and there in the yards and a couple shady spots. When we got back the the U.P. we started seeing it all over the place again...then we got home and sank back into deep depression.....almost 2' in our yard yet. Tomorrow is rain, that'll knock it down alot.

Yooper - I have some property north of Houghton. Looking forward to the UP snow melting so we can get into our place. Most of the snow storms went either south or north of us - and I'm not complaining.

Most went way south of me. Up north further, central wi all were well below average snow for the season. At my cottage in tomahawk, there was not a lot left on the trails after last Sunday.

Wait, mud season? I didn't see any mud in your pictures. Honestly, I thought I was going to see large trenches made by the tractor or your 4 wheeler.

I do my best to NOT move equipment around at this time of year. If you go off the gravel you sink, even if you stay on the gravel - in certain areas you sink. I can move equipment around for about an hour and a half in the morning if we have freezing temps overnight. Other than that it is the wood splitting and dog poop clean up routine.

Woody, do you use the property after hunting season and before spring? Is it a hunting camp? Dang I miss that area....

Savage: Our cottage is out on the south shore of the Keweenaw. We keep it open from April until November. I'd love to use it in the wintertime, but it is a bit off the road and getting in through the snow is an issue.
    Plus it is minimally insulated.

Nothing a snowmobile and a wood stove wouldn't fix. ;)
