Emma found some swamp maple that I forgot about when pushing banks back beside the house?
So they are being split right now into fillers.

What a lovely job of the traveling crates. The boat vents are a nice touch. Have you thought of putting foam down and then the carpets?

Dave, not too long ago, an out of state couple stopped for rest/pee and came back to their truck only to find their two chocolate lab pups were kidnapped right out of their crates. It took a long while for them to be located and returned to the owners. I would encourage you to put a secure lock on your carrier.http://bangordailynews.com/2013/09/...two-dogs-stolen-from-pickup-truck-in-newport/ http://wabi.tv/2013/09/30/dogs-returned-ownegen

My dogs like straw in their area. It is warm, clean, no off gasing from glue etc. Very easy to keep clean.

There is "always" one of us that stay with our dogs! We take turns in the rest areas and usually the one who has to go the worst is first in… We then water, feed and walk them, usually our stops are 15 to 30 min.
With that said, there is also some "insurance" close by in the truck that everyone knows how to use. ;)

I'm gonna put some nice carpet in but they also have some of my old sleeping bags as blankets they love. The Corgies like to nest in them…:)

We do the same thing when traveling with Bear. I have no worries that anyone will try to kidnap him and I also have no fear when the Bride is walking him. He is a lover 99% of the time but it amazes me how he senses when the situation calls for him to "come to attention". Dogs are amazing critters........

Would hate to see a mishap to those yorkies. Like you, I try not to let my pups out of my sight unless I know I have secured their area. But there are mean people in many places who couldn't care less.
