I'd stick with blowing trees down, but not saws.
A local person was killed a couple of years ago when they were shooting at Tannerite contained in some sort of metal container. The flying shrapnel hit the shooter in the abdomen and killed him. They were using a rifle so as to stay a distance away, yet it was still lethal.

 

Ya got some pre made kindling on the end of that tree too
