Good thing is that you use the HD gift cards to cover tax amd shipping , allowing the card discount to apply to them as well.

Ok its official I have now placed my order for my NC30.sounds like it will arrive in a week and a half or so?

Ok so I spent $735.39 on HD gift cards and I covered all of the $792.88 bill for the stove , delivery and tax. AND I still have about $7 left on one card!!! AND I logged in through Ebates like wild seat advised. So if that works like it should I should see another $6.50 back on that purchase!!

So I guess you could say I spent 735.39-8.5(left on card)-6.5 ( Ebates cash)=$720.39.

So I paid a little over $720 for a $798.88 bill for a stove delivered to my door.

 

Congratulations clem and great discount, would it have been around $1200 ,not on sale and no discounts ?
Are planning on having it all installed and ready for next fall ?

 

Yep, I like this as well. The traditional "10% off" type card only directly affects the price, has an indirect effect on tax, and no effect on shipping. The discounted gift card directly affects them all.

Was on the phone with mike holton with Englander today discussing install and clearances. He is a great guy and very knolegable and nothing but a help and huge asset to Englander customers.

 

Oh and I got another $5 for a sign up bonus with Ebates for my first purchase!!

Oh I forgot that I bought the gift cards with my credit card that comes me 1.25% cash back on putchases. So technically there is another $9 off the price. So now I am in about $711 for the stove delivered.

Are you going to kick your old stove to the curb , and hook it up right away ?

 

Heck NO!!! This is going on the opposite side of the house. My house is around 3000sqft most of it is uninsulated so even though I live in SC this house requires some serious heat!!!

My current stove is set up as an insert so the 30 won't fit. Its also close to a $3000 stove so I am not kicking it down the road. Has beautiful 24k gold plated door. Its a 3.4cuft catalyst monster!!!

 

It might be hooked up today if I can find some help moving them.

The old defiant still heats well, but with the Crack in the fireback it isn't very efficient. Probably going to save it for the barn I haven't built yet. My parents bought it new in 1979, so it'd be cool to keep it around.
