Finally Got Something Done

After work today I finally got around to something, between having a cold and doing family things I haven't had much time to do anything.

 

Lost some snow from the last time you were working on that.
Nice to get something done.

 

Looks like you have a bit of snow on the ground. Whats the weather like up your way today?
Nice work on getting that conifer down. Should have a good time getting that dry next summer.

 

It's been in the fourties up here but it's been getting below freezing during the night. We had over a foot on the ground last week so it's clearing up pretty good so far, but the bad weather supposed to be coming back. Now that I'm feeling better I can get more done.

Is that the trees behind where you are building the woodshed ?

With that deep wet snow, be safe*** lots of trip hazards there !

One suggestion,
cut those limbs flush against the tree trunk,
the splits will stack better with no limb nubs sticking out

Yep that was hemlock, and that big old girl is still laying down in back of my house with quite a bit of snow on it.

 

Have fun dragging brush... Otherwise I am jealous. I want to be cutting now.

 

I don't really drag brush I just pile them up and burn it in a big brush fire.
