Hey Jon_E , welcome to FHC. Nice looking frame you got there. I bet the finished house is nice. Our camp and land is somewheres near you. Maybe a bit more towards the east, but still on the south slope of a mountain. I like to spend time there.

Timber frame is sweet!.. welcome I have been here a short while but seems like a friendly forum as opposed to another forum I'm sure we are all members on.

Jon_E did you or someone else do a write up on your home building progression? That site looks familiar. I may have come across it on the web when I was researching ideas..

There's probably some pictures and a brief writeup on the Forestry Forum, where I've been a member for years. Nothing formal though. There were a large number of photos taken by a visiting FF member and he may have also written something up, maybe even gotten as far as the Timber Framers' Guild. I was a member of the TFG as the time this was built.

Welcome aboard. Similar heating at our place, using a CB 6048. I'm sure our forum paths will cross often. All the best

No, not all members are on that other forum. Seems they don't like some of us very well. No harm done.

    Welcome to the forum Jon.

I came close to buying a portable band mill but my old and hurting body (and wife) kept me from it. Think I could have enjoyed it seeing as how I used to saw lumber but not with a band saw. Big ole circular saw.
