This weekend is the first race of the season. Any other F1 fans out there?

I was one big time for years... Remeber getting up at 7am on Sundays to watch them live with my Dad as a kid... Also remember the shock of seeing Senna's fatal crash live.

We Followed Shumi from his Benetton days all the way though the Ferrari championships, drove out to Indy 3 times to watch the USGP when it was there, including the inaugural year. that was fun. I remember driving up to the track and rolling down the windows to hear the V10 whine live for the first time on a practice day when we where still a mile from the entrance.... wow.

I fell out of watching it a number of years ago when it just got so repetitive with nobody ever passing... and then all the regulation changes and eliminating pitstops and such. Have things changed, is it interesting again?

Yes and no. There is more passing....albeit do to DR'S. An aerodynamic device. At least one pit stop is required to change tires.

Its definitely not the same as the days of Indy GP or the Detroit GP but it's better in some ways and not so in others.

Love it myself for the spectacle, the difference in cars (no spec cars) and incredible drivers.

Austin TX has an incredible race track they race at in late October.

You might want to check out the race this weekend.

I've lost interest mainly due to the lack of it being available on free tv.
