Looks good Adam. You almost inspired me to fire up the grill, but it's drizzling and gray outside. I wood fired some T-bones the other night, as the weather gets warmer I should become active in smokehouse again
I might start using wood instead of the bought wood charcoal. This Christmas I ran out of charcoal while smoking a pork but. I was shuttling coals from the inside wood burner to the grill. I then decided to use some wood to get temps up. I might have to use more wood!!!!
GRILLING with wood is one animal, COOKING with wood is another - charcoal from your sifted ashes are nice and a few briquettes IMHO are essential for cooking a piece of meat
Nice that pit looks brand new? How did you like it? Have you attempted a low and slow with no charcoal? UDAMAN!
It's new, I bought it last November just before a big snow storm and didn't get to test it until this spring. We stuffed some pork chops the other day and let them smoke a bit as they cooked, but I haven't tried real slow and low yet. And I don't cook anything with charcoal.
