i just saw the craziest thing ive ever seen in a big game. Iron Bowl (Bama v/s Auburn) game ended on a missed field goal returned from the back of the end zone, was a long kick 57 yards, the kicker hit it well but got it up too high and it was just short, an auburn player caught it and ran it all the way back for the game winning score. funny thing was bama had the ball and on the play before it looked like the clock ran out as the runner went out of bounds, replay determined (after the bama coach lobbied hard) that there was 1 second left so the stage was set, the kick is up, its short and all of a sudden this guy was running it back , got a block hit the sideline and it was over # War Eagle! (guess who i was rootin for) was one of the best games ive seen in years, start to finish, kudo's to both teams.
OH game was crazy, best ending I could have hoped for. I enjoy but not a diehard fan. Always love watching the OSU Michigan game. man that last minute was intense and shocking.
Don't really care much for it. Will watch a few of the games a yr on TV. At Clemson 2 football seasons went to one game as an undergraduate, I always was out of town deer hunting. The game I went to was a Thur night game day game. As a grad student I did not go either. I gave my ticket away back then.
i agree, watched both games both were "Barn Burners" i thought at the time the Michigan coach should have kicked the extra point and slugged it out in OT , but i guess he didnt feel his team could stop Ohio state on defense and went tfor the win when he had a shot , just one of those calls that you have to make as a coach i guess, had they converted he'd have not been second guessed at all (as it sits many of the pundits said it was a good call to go for 2. now in the iron bowl im seeing the same scenario play out , im screaming "kick it kick it" fearing that auburn could lose it by not converting.
There are a lot of sad Bama fans around here - watched it at my cousins place, all Bama fans and one Auburn guy. I had to take Auburn and the points, but was pulling for bama to win - I still think they would put either Ohio St or FSU in their respective places. Oh well next year we get a playoff - so you can have 3 SEC teams vs one lowly "Big Ten" team in a shootout
Don't worry Auburn will lose to Mizzou and you'll still get FSU after they beat punish Duke. I hate to knock on conferences but its is what it is some years. I watch and have become involved in it since moving to AL -before never, I'm a Pats fan NE born and bred.
Well that was an exciting evening of football. The SEC championship has zero defense until late in the 4th qtr -took an extra 20 rider on 100+ O/U at half time Condolences to "THE OHIO STATE" fans... How cool would it be if they matched Bama against Ohio State in a bowl game? It would get better Tv ratings than Auburn/FSU Nat'l championship
Yea and bama would whoop on Ohio......From the looks of the game last night I think Ohio State forgot they had another game before the BCS! That was a sorry sorry game......sad
From the looks of things the Orange Bowl will get Ohio St Vs Clemson and the Sugar bowl will be Alabama vs Oklahoma
