    nope, no turbo on it
I am not sure of all the specs, but he said its going to put out around 1500HP, he is a nut, this is just one of his many cars
he ordered a bunch of mandrel bent tubing and hand cut and fit each one and tacked them together with the mig, and i tig welded them up. it took me 5 hours, there was a crap load of welding

It looks like the headers are heading toward the front.......like a twin turbo motor setup.

If he's gonna be makin 1500 HP.......he'll be using turbos, or a supercharger.

I notices the headers going forward too.

I was thinking it would be a bit hard to make 1500hp on a naturally aspirated engineo_O

God Bless America. Home of the 1500HP Vega. When those things were on the street, there was a national speed limit of 55 mph. Go figure.....

yep, headers exit out the front and into a collector and exit just forward of the front tires
dont think he is using a turbo or supercharger, but i will ask him tomorrow

I am almost done with the tube sheets for a water tube boiler build. The tubes will be tig welded into the sheets. 432 welds in all...

Then the water tube assemblies are welded into the headers with SMAW.

Less than 9 hours of sleep in last 4 days ..............Work and traveling in traffic

Allmost done with 2 more loops of .404 (1 loop with a single bevel, one with a double bevel)

My bet on that car is plate system(s) of nitrous, or centrifugal blower ........... collectors are already welded as an exit ahead of each of the front tires. If it was turbo or dual turbo, them tubes would have been much shorter to take advantage of hotter exhaust air before entering the turbo, and if it was a roots supercharger, the intake would have been much different. He will either stuff the intake with a Vortex or Pro Charger, or freeze it out with multiple plate systems as the intake isn't tapped for a port injection system.

    Nice job welding !!!!

I was thinking the same thing Mopar. Plate/Nitrous system..

You can see the outlet of the muff in this pic. Right in front of the front tire. That thing probably sounds Nasty!! :dex:

    Nice tig job Elder!!

Ours aren't too bad. We've just started our herd and only have about 30. Looking to triple that by next year.
I'd love to get the vet gun that allows me to shoot them from a distance with their meds.

Wifey and MIL had 30 Angora goats, trim hooves and pour on for lice once a month, worm every other, sheer and vaccinate twice a year... oh and get there dang heads outta the fence daily. Only good thing about them, they loved to eat poison ivy! Good luck!

Tomorrow I burn their horns off. We keep no horned goats. Disbudding is nasty but needed here.

Looks like a lot of tight welding!!! Can you weld the tube from the top plate inside the tube? If from the outside of the tube seems like you can't get to the other tube.

Each tube is individually TIG'd, then they are put through the header flange and they are lined up so the collector can be welded. The header is last ............. at least that's how I have done them. Where the 4 tubes meet inside the collector is the worst, as I usually have the tubes melt down a little ............. foot control is paramount there, must be comfy and not distracted. I save the inside of the collectors for another day, have to stay sharp there and my focus has gone to crap in my old age. Iris burn in gets me sooner these days and I have to keep the helmet on 10, as 11 is just too dark ................ AHHHHH, the joys of getting older
