a lot like my 1966 fairlane gt 390 4 speed 9'' I had the hard top, red x black interior with white rally stripes. Loved that car.
That scared me for a second, then I realized you were talking about your outboard motor...............
My grandfather told me a story about being caught by a NY state trooper early one morning headed to a jobsite - said he just noticed headlights catching up to him(~110mph) so he slowed down. The trooper just wanted to see his new front wheel drive Toronado -which my grandfather let him now would lose him in any corners He had a restored 66 and 67, neither were his originals, the maroon one was sexy
Check this out http://www.icon4x4.com/overview/br/models I think that they are reproducing 2 of my most fav. vehicles. I had Bronco's, a 67 with a 289, and a 77 with a 302. Wish I still had both of them. Way back in 77 when I was a kid in HS, I went to the Toyota dealer and got a brochure on the LC, IIRC it was around $4500. That was a long time ago and only really a "dream" and that price might be wrong because the only other time I walked into a dealership (back then) was to look at a brand new, shiney red F-250 "high-boy", that was about the same ammount. A friend had a Fj with a 350 SB chevy & 4sp muncie and I've wanted one since.
Yeah, I had a pristine '74 Bronco w/ 302 and the 'Cruiser at the same time. Sold them both at the same time. Wife had some medical issues and I needed to cover the deductible so they both went. I still sob into my pillow about that, albeit quietly.
Dec of '68 I had just gotten home from Viet Nam with a years worth of combat pay burning a hole in my pocket. Went down and spent it all on a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Looked like this one.Wish I still had it.
