Just went through the pics. Lovely country to be riding in. Are the trails used for hiking or bicycling on in the summer? Autumn must be stunning with colour.

I just got one of my sleds running better late than never.I just got done going through everything took the carbs off cleaned the jets out cleaned the air box cleaned and polished the clutches gave it a new belt and plugs. The power valves got a thorough cleaning need to replace the bellows next year. I stopped just long enough to take a pic. I am currently working on a sled to go do some cuttin.

Ah, you've got the little brother to my 2000 xc600sp. Did you put that seat on it? Those Polaris like ours are very very good sleds. Bought mine in snow check at the end of 99 riding season. I ride a lot with my wife as a passenger, so the Yamaha venture 600 gets a lot more use.

I'm pretty much set on extending my xc to a 136 or 144, and putting a 2up seat on it. It's already got reverse from the factory and mirrors. Pull start only, and I'm ok with that. I'd definitely get more use out of it as a 2up.

This don't ride like no little brother LOL it gets it and fast enough for me for sure. The seat was from previous owner that was his trade he went by the name Skully. It has some extra padding in it.

They wanted a multi use trail in the summer/fall but some people in town have it tied up in court, something about the environmental study was done wrong on certain parts of the trail.

Naw, I'm aware of the power that 500 VES has. My 600 ves has the same 440 race based small block as yours, just a bigger top end. Your 500 has like 105 HP. Not bad by any stretch as my 600 Yamaha liquid twin has like 97 HP.

On Friday we made our way down to Seveys Point (pic 7856) for a coffee and a cinnamon bun the we went down the road to the Thirsty Moose for lunch.

We had some great food, service and some very nice trails.

On the way back we met the groomer that comes out of our little town, pic 7865.

Awesome pics. No sledding this weekend for me, that's next weekend.

I wish I had a sled down here today. I could've hauled a ton of wood out of the land.

We had a good wind which made it feel colder but we only felt it in two areas that were wide open, the rest the trees ate up.

After resplitting some firewood for our neighbor I hit 8E for about 20 miles, the first two pictures are from the county trails and the last two are from our property.

I hope so, it's not very many miles for one year but I'm hoping I can get to 600 miles on the sled this year, I'm around 540 so far.

I put on just over 200 miles over the weekend. I didn't take many pics, but I sure had a great time. The trails in Wisconsin really took a beating with the warm temps.

Our trails up north will need a good 6" plus to get back to rideable, but I doubt that will happen. I think its safe to say our sledding season is over.

The trail up through the woods was thin before this warm weather came in, I doubt they'll be worth a chit after this week.

It's time I get the saws ready, the hills the downed wood is on should be taking a beating from all the sun so I'm hoping in two weeks or less I can get back there.

Yeah, it was downright balmy today low 50's. Up north Wisconsin it was the same, upper 40's and not really even freezing at night.

Stick a fork in it. Winter's done. It may protest once or twice in the next few weeks, but our snow is done.

I spent the 40 minutes after work cleaning up the dog poo piles in the yard that were uncovered by melted snow. There's more to clean up though:headbang:

Glad you're feeling better. We might be getting more snow this weekend with some colder temps next week, hopefully we get enough snow that I can get down the road with the sled so I can get on our property I cut on.

I did take a walk down to the Brook tonight before the sun went down, so far the water level is lower than usual at this time of year.
