I'm pretty happy with this F250 I found on CL over the weekend. It's a '91 F250 4x4 Long Bed with a 5 Speed Manual Trasmission, 302 V8 Gas Motor, 139K miles, just got it on the road yesterday. I'm going to build some wood sides on it like my 2WD '86 Chevy C20. This truck will allow me to get into a bunch of spots I can't get into with the C20. Interior is in nice shape and everything works, heat and AC included. I want to install a dump kit for the bed by next fall so I can really move some wood.

Somebody took pretty good care of it. It does have a few minor dings and scratches but the paint is original. No rust either. The frame has some surface rust but nothing really. Underneath was impressive, went under with a creeper and a light and checked it over carefully. Gotta love southern vehicles, originally I came from upstate NY (been here 15 years) so I know how Northern vehicles get all rusty.

Good looking truck, almost too nice to turn into a wood hauler.

Super clean. Was it priced nice?

That's showroom new compared to my 94 F250 with only 81k on it. It's falling apart. I'll prolly be looking for a decent, high mileage truck to do a drivetrain swap.

Nice score. I like the dump box conversions but look around for one of the in-box dump boxes. I like them because you can remove it and all the weight of the pump and have a regular truck pretty easily.

Mind telling me what you paid for that? It's beautiful. I'd love to come across something like that.

$2900 for that plus plow & the EZ dump? That seems like a great price. Shoot, now I'm gonna have to go but it.

I put mine on CL for very similar price with the plow and had some nibbles before the brake line blew during test drive and I fixed it an kept it.

Thanks, I paid $2800 for it. I have run across several descent trucks searching CL for the past 6 months. I found an 87 F250 Diesel 4x4 with a pickup hidden dump bed and the other one I really liked was an 82 Chevy 1 ton Diesel Dually 4x4 with a dump bed as well. Both could have been had for about $3K. PM me if you are not in a rush and need somebody in the South to Scout out a Southern truck for a modest fee. I did have my dealer license for several years as well. This is truck country just check the Charlotte area CL. Here is a nice F250 in my town for sale. It's 10 years newer and more $$ but I'm sure there is some wiggle room.

Here is another one that may have potential about 100 miles South.

I had a Dodge Ram once. That was enough for me, never again. Ford and Chevy are the Kings around here.
