That's seems cheap for a good running stove. That's a great find!

Let us know how well it heats the room or house.

I seen a pellet furnace for $800 today. Comes with all duct work (cold air and hot supply). I am very tempted to buy it and sit on it...

St. Croix 050 SCF. Same as what mithesaint has.

It is very similar to the Fahrenheit Endurance 50F. They are both 50,000 BTU and have 800 CFM blowers. The St. Croix has a different cleaning system for the burn pot. Both are multi fuel rated.

I've been known to drink a beverage or two in front of the furnace and watch the fire burn.

I liked watching the fire in my 6041 when I heated with that stove, but I like the quiet in the living room while running the furnace more than I liked seeing the fire. As someone who ran a 6039 for years, I bet you can relate to that one. :)

yup, I can relate. This new quad is much quieter, and well a flame is a flame. I'm enjoying a beverage right now and the dogs are sitting in my lap and the e2 is keeping us nice and toasty. The flame looks fantastic and is staying on the right side of the glass !!!

I stand and watch my furnace as well. Big glass and a big fire :)

I like my stove upstairs. But spot heating? Is not as easy as heating with a furnace

The SCF only is 45,000 BTU and it's not automatic ignition, and you have to manually drop the clinker every 12-36 hours, depending on burn rate. The Revolution is the model with self cleaning.

I'm really happy with how it burns corn, but the multifuel pot doesn't work very well for pellets. Hardwood pellets have enough ash that it tends to build up and the pot needs emptied annoyingly often, or at least that's the case with last years Somersets. My CPM hated the AWF WP, but the SCF chows them down without a problem.

There is a specific pellet burn pot available for the SCF, but it costs about $180, so I'm not buying it right now. Maybe in a year or two if the price of corn goes back up.
