Are they planning a replacement? Or are they done with the furnace business.

Odd that many seem to be cancelling the furnaces. I heard St Croix is also contemplating dropping theirs as well.

Maybe the furnaces aren't profitable ,not selling enough of them to justify continuing to produce them ?

Another Fahrenheit owner here. No complaints. It's been a hungry critter with this below zero crap, but that's to be expected. It was -14F this morning for a low and 4 for a high and the house has stayed at 68 degrees. I'm heating about 1650 sq feet upstairs and about 800 downstairs.

Wouldn't trade that furnace for anything right now.

pretty much on the mark...stated reasons were the high cost of production versus less than expected sales

X2.... Mine is idling... And our temps are supposed to be -13° actual temp (-35° real feel with wind chill) tonight.

Wood stove cranking and pellet furnace idling and it's 72° throughout the house. :D

Well, I may have to snag up the next used Harman PF-100 (120), Fahrenheit (love this thing), or a St Croix Revolution that hits CL.

After this 4th season with the Fahrenheit? I couldn't be happier with a 50,000 BTU unit. Bigger would be nice, but this thing works flawlessly.

I've been told by people at St. Croix that they aren't currently making either of the furnaces. There wasn't any indication if they would in the future or not, but that there wasn't any new furnace production right now.

Dex - we'll have to race to the spot if a Revolution ever shows up on CL locally. I'm happy with my SCF, but I'd rather have the additional 15K BTU and the automatic start up from the Revolution if I had the chance. I've seen a few show up in MI, about 5 hours away, but haven't been able to get there before someone else does yet. Maybe next time.

On that ductwork air flow issue I would be looking into checking for leaks ala Mike Holmes did on Holmes on Homes. Lots of places to lose that hot air. A little here and a little there and pretty soon no air flow at all over there at the end of the line.

Sorry guys been busy. Ok here is the story. I put the word out on FB I was looking for a pellet stove. A guy I know called me said he had a 4 year old Englander 55-SHP22 that was broke. Auger not turning & did not like the dust it left in the house. Tired of buying pellets. Going to natural gas. Could have it cheap with about 8' of pipe. If I came and took it out. So we went and got it. As we where taking it out we realized what was wrong it hand not been cleaned since it was put in. Pipe was full of crap. Brought it home gave it a GOOD cleaning. And it runs just fine. So there going to put it in there living room. To see how it does before buying a furnace.
