    Below zero's coming in early.
Normal below zero's are late Dec thru January temps.

We need a snow storm to bring in some warm temps :)

I thought we in Maine were hardy. But you got to be really determined to stay there when it is so cold for so long.
Love the pics. Thank you for sharing.

When I lived in the mountains of Colorado for 8 years the coldest I experienced was -43 with a balmy -19 for the high. But it is a dry cold.

    Is the sled a Skandic?

Some people were saying it was going to be a cold winter this year. Some were also saying if you get a real bumper crop of Apples you will have a "real" winter. The branches were breaking off our Apple tree this year there were so many apples on it. These cold temps this early are not like it has been in a long time. Glad I have a lot of nice seasoned wood. :fire:

It is a good year for cold. I am finally burning wood seasoned more then 3 years, split 43 months ago, and my first year burning black locust to boot!

You can keep the below zero though, brrrrr.

You, know I had probably only a few dozen apple this year. Last year was our bumper crop. But never that so that's interesting.

They may be calling for cold this winter but with my luck we won't see any snow this year, I just bought this for my tractor and the way my luck runs, well, you know how that goes.

Nice plow JoeyD! Nice tractor! That will work nice. How much weight do you have on the back wheels there? Do you have tire chains for it as well? Do you live in snow country? How much do you usually see where you live?

I'm in South Jersey. It's hit or miss where I live as far as snow but 12" or more is not uncommon multiple times a year.

I am anxious to give this set up a work out. It is a Johnny Plow and is a four way 48" blade. The wheel weights are 50lbs and I have four suitcase weights incase I need them along with chains.

This is will be the first time in my 52 years I shouldn't have to shovel snow.

Nice. Oh those chains are going to be needed when you get a bunch of snow, and will make a huge difference.
