Went out yesterday for a couple hours before dark and cut a load of oak and cherry. Here it is before I made it through the snow to the back yard to get it unloaded. Two rows deep, stacked, to add to the Spring splitter hoard.
Then a shot from the back window...I really do like the snow and I know some are tired of it, but I'm not yet. When we get into the warm weather I will miss playing with the stove, but I'll be busy splitting and stacking.
We have had about 2-3" of new snow so far and expecting maybe another 5"......have to fire up the snow blower before long.

Locust, I'm curious why you stack the rounds on pallets? When we make splitting piles, we just stack right on the ground. Then when stacking, it is up off the ground.

Looks good LP, looks like you beat the heavier snow today. My drive home from work today around 1;00 was interesting to say the least.
Now if that were locust we could talk shipping terms a little further in detail….;)

Just the piles between the pines are on skids.....no particular reason just because they were long odd shaped pallets that I had laying close by.

I'd say we got about 7-8" up my way Todd.....you are about 10-12 miles south so I'd guess about the same down your way.

Just looked you guys up on the map. I'm in your 'hood twice a week, Urichsville, New Philly, Dover. My route over the summer went to Alliance, Minerva and Carrollton.

Not happy about more snow

I always stack my rounds on pallets also. Once I get the wood I do not want it seeing the ground again.

About 6-7" down this way, I'm actually 2 mile out of Dellroy 6 mile out of Carrollton on the SW side. With this last round of snow Ive actually been looking at snowblowers, don't need one very often but the new toy fairy has been waiving that dang wand around me...:)

No plowing for me. But I might be busy looking at damaged vehicles for people that were unfortunate during this round of snow.
