So, yesterday, my wife and 2 of our grandgirls were sitting in the kitchen sewing, and one of the girls looked at the variety of coffee mugs hanging above the sink. She asked what the FHC stood for on the orange one. My wife couldn't tell her, even though she's seen it on my desk. When I told them, they all just smiled. They know me. My wife understands....sort of, since you wouldn't believe how much fabric she has, even though she's downsized considerably since we moved here.
I have a granddaughter that's been spending quite a bit of time here at our home. She's 3, and very respectful of the stove, knowing not to touch it, etc. She was asking the other day about each and every tool on the hearth, what's that one for grandpa, etc. etc. I sensed deep down she understands that the woodstove is THE item that is currently beating back the cold
Oh, the time with grandchildren when they are young. It is great!!!!! It seems just a year or two ago I was carrying my first grandchild in my arms and she definitely was Grandpa's girl. Even if Grandma was holding her, I come up and look and a big smile would come on and the arms would be out saying she wanted Grandpa. But wait! What happened? We just celebrated her 29th birthday. Where have I been? Doesn't seem that long.
My wife says to me a couple weeks ago, "so do you guys still have that firewood site?" Lol.......yep.......
papadave, let me get this straight...there are two FHC members in your house? One of firewood and one of fabric?

Yes there are TWO ladies.....my lovely wife and my beautiful daughter. One rules the roost, the other one THINKS she does........ That's about all the ladies this boy can handle right there!!!
