Saw dies after 8-10 seconds of idle time

    Glad you are getting this figured out - sounds like it was mainly a clogged jet, but I agree that I'd order a kit and rebuild to make sure all is well. Cheers!

    Well, I had the chance to run it a little this evening. It held an idle and seemed to run well. Hard to really say though since it's an 064 cutting 10" dead pine with an 18" bar!

    Either way, yes, I will be getting a carb kit. This saw is about to get a little bit of a makeover and it'll need a healthy carb to keep up with the high fuel demand!!
