I have a wood/chip dump for tree services. Usually they drop off 50-100 cord a year. 90% of it is cut to length. Some times we get loads of logs . Pretty wood we sell and the ugly stuff gets burned .Dad has a pretty big OWB. Hes had the flu for a week so Ive been loading it regularly. This is how the big stuff gets loaded. Gantry crane with a trolly and chain hoist. Pretty slick set up. Giant soft maple crotch going in. Prolly 20"Wx 36" L x14" thick. I'll put in a couple layers of slabs on the bottom, flat side up and then slide monsters like these in.
