Started off today splitting some wood. Then switched to hauling in some wood before the snow. Then switched to cutting some wood but the saw decided it didn't want to cut wood. Idled high and running like crap. Ran fine last week guess the carb needs adjusting.

Decided hell with it went fired up the air compressor to clean the saw up and splitter. Air hose blew apart grrrrr. Got pizzed and finishing cleaning saw with busted air hose. Which I could have pizzed in a fan and had better results.

Got aggravated and started doing something I hate but am starting to like at the same time and finished stacking two cords of splits.

Still in a pizzy mood decided to split again and finished off the day splitting. All the while worried about the saw.

I have the new 441 and haven't even put fuel in it yet. I won't run it til I get into bigger wood which will be soon. I guess I'll be down to two saws well one till I get the one sorted out and back up to par.

You know that's part of the reason too it's so nice and shiney lol. compared to the other two that have normal wear. But I couldn't stand the thought of using it and putting it away dirty the first time out.

I always use my air compressor and clean the saws off real good and wipe them down. Like having them ready to roll the next time cutting. I Was going to fire it up today but just couldn't stand the thought of not cleaning it afterwards. I know that's goofy but I can't help it

Not goofy at all, heck I take better care of my 2 newer saws than the newer vehicle (at least thats what the rest of the crew tells me) Never had brand new saws this nice before.

You have to. They aren't cheap. The 441 is my first professional grade saw so I want to continue taking care of it as I have my two 290's

I have a couple friends and they good guys but they don't take care of their stuff and wonder why it never runs or chalks it up to being junk while mine not counting today tic right along that's what so aggravating to me I always take good care of my tools and I've set here all day thinking did I miss something

I will eventually it's snowing here now and I've been in small wood saving the big stuff for last I have aporox 50 ash trees to take down I've been getting the smaller trees first 12-18 dia I figure the 441 is over kill for that size.

When I get to the 20 plus I'll break out the 441

Trying to cut a couple get them into to rounds split then stacked and clean up the limbs before I move on to two more I don't want a big mess or a bunch of wood piled up but not stacked. I'm itching though I might just take a big one down just to try it out

Worry not woodrat, we all have those sort of days every now and then. As for me, I'll wait for warmer weather and hopefully snow melt too. We finally made it above zero today but still only single digits.
