Remember, the factory settings are a "ballpark" setting......every setup is different. That's the great part of the Englander control panel......you can "customize" to your particular situation.

Yeah, I love it. I know they say not to touch the settings, but it makes sense to dial it in for different pellets and set ups. They probably do not want the average Joe just monkeying around. So far I am VERY impressed. I compare it to the Quad Castille( as far as performance ) Except a MUCH better controller and I could have bought two of these and a ton of pellets for the price of one of those.
The only drawback, which does not effect me in the least in this situation is the size of the hopper. Full time burners need an 80lb hopper at least IMHO

You know it's windy out when the water in the toilet bowl is going up and down creating white caps ,and a small craft advisory is in effect:bug:

After plowing from 3-10am i came home and ran right back out to my parents for a birthday lunch. The mrs and baby piney just went shopping so i shoveled the stairs, walkways to both vehicles, and a path to the shop. I came inside to warm up a bit with the plan of going back out, but the hastings is cranking some serious heat and it feels wayyyy to good. Think i'll enjoy a cold one and relax for a bit :drunk::fire:

Obviously that depends on the outside temp, but long enough where I never worry about running out as long as I top it off when I leave in the morning. 2/3 full is more than enough to get through the night.
