I'm from eastern Ohio have an Empyre Cozeburn for 8 winters now. Seems like a lot of good info on here. I am now retired after 42 years in a steel mill and enjoying life!
Welcome from Taxachusetts and congrats on the retirement I have found this to be a fun group of HOT HEADS.
Welcome to the FHC forums! Glad you found us and are enjoying yourself! We all have hoarding problems around here and use this place not to get better but perpetuate the issue so if you like wood and wood burning you will fit right in!
Welcome! You getting the same wind in Ohio that we are in Virginia? Today's a great day for relaxing by the fire and staying inside here!
Thank you all for the welcomes. Glad I don't have to go out to work in this weather anymore. I worked 42 years in a steel mill and probably would have worked 2 more if it had not shut down. Just doing what ever I want these days, really nice.
Welcome Kid Rock! If you've spent any time at all around here I'm sure you already know what a great group of people we have. Stay warm! Oh and don't be shy, we like pics of members' setups, woodstacks, chainsaws, toys, etc.......
A warm welcome. You picked a good day ...will be lots of folks working at their computers today. Not much point to going out. Environment Canada has extreme cold warnings out, flesh freezes in a few minutes. Artan has asked to go out twice, each time lasted for five minutes, and was during a lull in the wind...who says dogs aren't smart? It is a beautiful day, if one discounts the temps and wind.....sparkling clear and deep snow cover.
Welcome! Let's see some pics of your setup? Saws??? Glad to see another member to help grow this forum!!!
Welcome to the forum. Kid Rock sounds like a good screen name. If you are like me and many others, you'll quickly find that this retirement thing was made for guys like us. It is very rare to set an alarm clock (always hated those things) and it seems all our appointments are with a doctor somewhere and sometimes hospitals. We're doing our best to cut that out too. Working in a steel mill just sounds to me like hard work. So is putting up firewood but this is a much better thing to be doing. Not feeling the best? Wait until tomorrow! Just one more benefit of retirement.
