Fortunate most of the wood I deal with is quick drying or standing dead. Looking at the round piles for long term storage. Say 2-4 years.
I'm about 100 miles SW of Shawn. Heres my outside pile . Center of that pile is about 8'. About 4 cord left in this. I'm gonna start pulling wood out of the attached shed.
Here's some pictures my dad sent me.this morning. They're just east of Erie about a mile south of the lake.
Stacks are looking similar at the other end of the lake too, Shawn. Just south of the eastern end Oneida Lake.
I'm east of Bridgeport by a few miles. Remember Flo's Diner, home of the 10 cent coffee, on Rt 31? Stone's throw from there about 100 yards off the lake.
The not-quite Great Lake to the east (Champlain) froze over, for the second year in a row, on Tuesday. My daughter is doing her freshman year up on the hill in Burlington and is quite impressed with the wind and cold there.
The town has a little dozer that they run over the sidewalk but my dad does it himself so they don't screw up his grass..lol..
I have never drank coffee but seem to remember that place anyway. I lived there in 1994 if I remember correctly. I lived (rented) in three different areas around Syracuse between 1991-1994. North Syracuse(Rte.11), Mattydale(Rte.11), then Bridgeport area(Rte.31). Good times.
Yes went to the SUNY Campus there. It's a pretty long trip from LI but that last 100 mi in a snow storm took the cake.
