Hey guys - helped a buddy get to some wood today. Small pile of logs buried under a good amount of snow + plow banks on top! Spent a good amount of time shoveling out and then pulling logs out with a tow strap - some were easy and others were pretty well frozen. Buddy was running his 562 and I ran my 372 - all in all, a decent load and a fun day. Wanted to get this out before the next > 12" inches comes down - starting tonight. All cut, split on site, hauled back and unload. Good day for cutting - mild temps in the 20's and dry. One pick of the pile we pulled from and one of the load. Good times! Cheers!
Thanks - yep, snow really started here about 3 weeks ago and then just keeps coming - pretty soon this would have been a real pain to get to! Cheers!

Welcome to the forum secretasianman. I'm betting that picture was not taken this morning! Willow can be nasty stuff. Fortunately we don't have many on our place.

Snow is definitely piling up - really wish it was less and the woods were more open - pretty much shut out now - my woods fun is cutting - no sledding, etc. - the less snow the better to get more work done! Cheers!
Looks like a good job on the load of logs.......as far as that willow, just drop it, buck it and set it a blaze and that almost a waste of good fuel for the saw.
Ha! Secretasianman already took care of that tree - he's has a tree business on the side - this was a paid drop. We split it together for shoulder season wood for him - not fun splitting. Willows can look nice, but otherwise, garbage. Cheers!
