Congratulations on one nice saw woodrat!

I'm a safety nut, at least I try to be. Always where your chaps and eye and ear protection. Stay safe man, and enjoy that saw!:saw:

I'd use it to trim rose bushes if that's what I had to cut when a new saw comes home.

I used a 394 and 32" for trimming some twigs that grew off a stump.

Shhhh no. Dont get me wrong I like them guys there and I buy some stuff from them often. But when it comes to buying the actual saw or trimmer I go to alexandria to cottinghams hardware on 27. They very up to date on products amd service and they are a elite dealer. Ive been doing more business with them last couple of years

They have been in business 50 years four brothers own it and will be the first to tell you that good service goes way beyond the initial sale and they do a good job of keeping their customers happy Try them

It's a bit of a drive from here. But I'm not overly happy with the 2 Stihl dealers close to me so I will take your advice and check them out soon. I'm planning on getting another saw soon.

We dont have any dealers that are in our immediate area that I would consider qualified to really service saws and trimmers other than cottinghams. I dont go to cresent springs either its a pain to get there and you already had problems there.

I get good service at cottinghams they take the time to listen and they was honest on a repair I needed done to my trimmer instead of fixing it they diagnosed it for me sold me the part and explained how to replace it basically losing a service sale. They said it wasnt worth the hourly rate they would have to charge for a 10 min job

I talked to several dealers before buying the 441 I wanted parts prices on it before I bought it for down the road if repairs was needed plus I was searching for a bar mount file guide so I took the oppotunity to talk to different ones since I was there and cottinghams was way lower on the parts.

I have heard that they get better pricing for being a elite dealer. They didnt say that but I read it somewhere online not sure if thats true or they are just being honest with pricing

One dealer said they hadnt been to a refreasher training from stihl in a couple years

I can work on a lot of things but 2 cycle stuff I havent really fooled with any. They to me obviously care to make sure they up to date on info and training.

Anyone can sell a saw but its the service after the sale I want.
