Well my logger buddies are back in the area and are cutting on two parcels I have permission to cut wood. Bribes have been paid, (Honeycrisp apples) out of my orchard. I helped out a little hooking/unhooking chokers yesterday. I found it fascinating watching how quickly the boys get the wood out. This stand has some really nice oak on it. Decent pics, enjoy.

The boys have only worked 1.5 days on this site, this is the progress so far.

Here is the making of the cut off piles I can have. I am working on getting a 30 yard container truck to haul the wood rather than my toy trailer.

There is another much larger pile already.

That definitely is the place to be when they are logging. I just wish we had those tools when we were logging but we still did okay. But having the big tools means less labor and finding good help many times can be a chore for sure.

Them cutoffs should keep you busy from the looks of the size of them. Apples for oak can't beat that, nice pics too.

Some of the best views of the Mississippi River is North of LaCrosse, WI all the way north to Prescott, Wi/Hastings, MN. Also, some of the most dangerous when the spring melt hits. Thank God for the vast back waters, which is the place where all the snow melt goes.
Firewood, that is some nice looking oak logs. Lots of #1 material in those logs.
    Thanks for the photos.

Very nice. I got ten cords from a cut - off pile some loggers left for me. Good stuff. Love the grapple truck. Man, that would add some years to my cutting future! Thinking my next purchase will be a dump trailer. Loading by hand is one one thing, but unloading by hand every time is another!
