I didn't see a thread so I thought I would start one. What is everyone's plans for Thanksgiving? For me tomorrow is a small dinner with my wife and possibly my son then Saturday is the big day with my whole family at my sisters. I have to work Friday and Sunday but it still should be a lot of fun.

I'm heading about 2 hours to my uncle's for the noon-time meal with my family and then back north an hour to the wife's. I like Turkey a lot, so this is a great day for me. Also, like seeing cousins and family I only see but once or twice a year. Thanksgiving is always my favorite holiday.

My son and daughter in law are having her parents and our family there. Everyone is assigned something.
My son thinks about 25 will show up. I don't do well in most crowds, but when it is kin, it is different. There are still some little grandchildren that are all smiles. My son has a fire going in a wood stove in the garage. Most of the men end up there. I'm the oldest of the bunch. I can't keep up with their stories, but they treat me ok.

Heading to my in laws for the family dinner tomorrow. They're about 15 miles away, so not far to go. About 25 people total. Always a zoo.

Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels to anyone who will be on the roads tomorrow.

We have seven coming for dinner at our house at 1. I'm doing all the cooking and the wife is baking now. She loves to bake as much as I love to cook. In the evening we'll have a few more relatives stop for a bite and then I will get all the Christmas totes out for my wife to decorate all through the house on Friday. When I get home from work on Friday evening it will look like Christmas time has arrived.

Headed to moms house, I smoked two turkey, she's got hams ready, also having halibut, salmon, and salmon pie. And all the sides and desserts. We have a huge family, expecting 75 today. Mom was one of 14 so our lunch will be big. Bonus is lots more foods to eat. :)

Basically a salmon version of a pot pie. Simply one of the most amazing foods I ever consumed.

14!? Apparently your grandmother and grandfather didn't have a stove...as they obviously had to find other ways of keeping warm!

Niece wanted to host at her house this year.
10,5 kg turkey in my oven, almost done - just have to find a cooler or something to carry it there with.
Almond ricotta cheesecake on the porch cooling off. Couldn't find amaretto cookies for crumbly crust so fine chopped almonds to dust the pan with.
Has amaretto (well) soaked raisins in it. Touch of orange zest . We'll see.
