new here.... got a question

    Ive got a earth stove tp440. It came with the house and was just sitting in the garage. Ive checked it out and it all works, BUT its missing a piece to hook up the flue.

    On the back of the stove theres a 5 3/4 inch x 5 3/4 inch area where the smoke comes out . I need that adapter plate .

    Anyone know where i can get this ?

    It is old.Part can be made by welding shop,but personally I would look for newer unit.

    I do not like reccomending older units unless the person ha sgood mechanical/electrical background,and ones that you have a hard time finding parts for.An old austroflamm,harman.st croix,whit, would be better choices.

    Agree with bob. Look for a used unit on Craigslist rather than using that old earth stove. You'll thank us later. Welcome aboard!

    I threw the towel in on rehabbing the BKK when I learned we needed to get the flue adapter fabricated. Your case may be different.

    There are a few companies that still have a few parts available, but the old Earth Stoves weren't very good units when new. It's an old unit (last made in 2000), plus the company is no longer in business any more (bought out by Lennox). IMO, I think your best bet is to sell it for scrap and invest in a new unit.

    I'm not familiar with your model but I have had great luck with my earth stove WP50. I burn corn and pellets. The others are right though that parts are expensive and somewhat hard to find(at least at decent prices). I have fabricated a number of improvements and fixes for mine over the past four years. I enjoy working on mechanical things and that is part of the fun for me.

    Source #1 at your doorstep:D I'm not exactly sure exactly what you need but I'm sure some fabricated part can be done. What I'm afraid of is you not having a good experience of owning a pellet stove with the Earth Stove product. If that is the case, do not take the experience as your last straw and keep a open mind.     thanks for all the warm welcome guys!!


    the part im looking for is on the back bottom. there are 4 bolts 5 3/4 inch x 5 3/4 inch with a square opening in the center of that , that measures 2 3/4 inch x 2 3/4 inch. we fired it up a few weeks ago and everything worked great . put off great heat but the smoke was coming out of this hole on the back. i need to find the part for this .

    I've got no clue about pellet stoves, but if all that stove needs is a block off plate per your picture, that will be an easy fix.

    What is that hole for anyway?
