I wonder who operates the stoves during EPA testing? A company rep that is experienced with the stove?

I just zipped off an email to Woodstock. Could call but they should be wrapping up the week's work and I hate to disturb that. Let them finish then go home to a warm supper.

This was the reply from Woodstock.

"We've contacted the EPA to let them know the last page seems to be missing!"

    Thanks Lorin.

That's a pretty low blow to a company like Woodstock that has worked so hard to go above and beyond. I sure hope every interested customer takes a second look at that once the page is added. In a world of 60-70% efficient stoves they stand out at 82%.

Especially a low blow when considering they won the competition in DC.

The list is useless for the most part. Most manufactures just go with the default rating. Blaze King and Woodstock are the only common stoves around here without a default rating. The Regency stoves look like they do alright.

What does "EPA" stand for? And who is it?

FWIW, the added cost of taking a "true rating" is quite expensive both in the initial and re certifications.

I'm fairly certain that the last page IS in fact missing! Because both of my Napoleon stoves (made by Wolf Steel Manufacturing) aren't on that list either and they are very efficient clean burning stoves....they were in the list last year, right by the Woodstocks

with both manufacturers at the "end of the alphabet" its likely they did leave the last page (or pages) off
