Will be keeping an eye on this. Been checking the HD's around here with rental centers for them to go on sale. No luck yet.
350 400 seems about the going rate from private sellers don't know what home depot gets for them more if it has the 79cc oem top end on it.
Buying from HD? I paid $194+tax for mine. It had been straight gassed, rebuilt, and then rented twice after that. It was marked down 2-3 times, I guess because people were afraid of it. Suckers. The last time I saw one for sale, it was $329. I went back the next day with cash, to look at it closer for my sister/nephew, and it was gone.
I'd say $200-300 is fair, but I've seen private sellers try to get $350-400 on CL. I bought mine from HD 2 years ago and paid $250 and had to rush to get it as soon as it was listed, all 3 saws the store had sold in hours. Then again this past fall another HD by me had 4 of them listed at $300 for 2 weeks. Then they lowered the price to $250 for a week and they didn't sell. Finally they listed them at $200 and they all went in a weekend.
I would give 200 for them any time I could find them. I'll have to check down here and see if they have them.
