I want to be able to hook a trailer hitch to the mower for moving the splitter and boat around the yard, can anyone guide me to the right attachment to add a ball hitch.

It's pretty much going to have to be "custom".

I'm not sure how heavy of a boat you are talking but for the log splitter I would think mounting the smallest shank ball you can find in the existing hitch hole should work, no?

No, it is currently set up for pin and I dont have enough room to mount a ball. Also, the splitter pull harder than the little boat.

They typically do not have enough strength to mount a ball and tow any kind of load. A splitter would fold one over pretty quick.

It's going to have to be a frame mounted bracket that has provisions for the ball or a receiver. Or, it could be a towable dolly of sorts that would make either trailer into a 4-wheel trailer with a steerable front axle.

I built one for mine, you want to be careful getting the ball above the center point of the tires. It will want to wheelie, and flip over on you

I don't know how popular the JD Sabre is, but I was able to find custom built frame mounted ball hitches for my Wheel Horse on eBay.

I rigged this one up for my sabre. I backed up the thin sheet metal along the bottom/back with some stout angle iron, I think it was about 1-1/2" wide. I bolted this up with 4 bolts. (Doing it over I would bolt an even wider piece to the top of that edge versus under it, and weld to that.) My neighbor then welded an old used hitch channel to the sheet metal. I made a diagonal brace from some flat stock and welded it to the hitch, bolting it at the top through the existing "battery bungee hole" at the top. Does not look like much but its very strong. As you can see from this photo off one of last years posts (http://firewoodhoardersclub.com/for...ord-the-jd-winch-and-subaru-bail-me-out.4355/) it will carry a "trailer load" of weight!

I'm not a big fan of those kind that mount high up on the tractor like that. To much weight and they get pretty light in the front end. I made 1 for my CC that has worked well for me but it is kind of a pain having to pick up what ever you are towing off of the ball.

A combination of the two above posts should get you where you need to be. Some flat/ angle iron bolted together and you should be set.

Another vote for keeping the mount point below the axle. Unless you have a wheelie bar.
