What's everyone using for transporting your chainsaw(s), both to and in the woods? I'm currently using a large rubbermaid tub but I have to take the bars off to get the 044 and the 036 to fit them in there. I like it because I can carry everything together including the gas, oil, and spare bars/chains but it sucks having to take the bar on and off and they don't take very much abuse in the cold. I know I could just sniff around and pick up a couple of the plastic chainsaw shaped ones but I think I'd rather go homemade.
I e the chainsaw shaped ones. I have a powerbox for the 562/359/550/576 and a stihl one for the 038/028. Soon to make one like this....
Very cool. So I'm seeing a lot of the scabbard style carriers. Maybe I should mount something like that on the back of my forks, out of the way of the tilt mechanism of course, and then some sort of carrier for the accessories either on the roof or right behind the back window?
I just put mine in the cab of truck with me or in the wagon secured I have a case but i don't use it often
No problem carrying everything. There is a metal milk crate in the front right corner that holds gas, oil, sharpener, wedges and/or any miscellaneous items. Now that I have 2 saws, still no problem carrying both in the trailer. Also in there are cant hook, pickeroon, log tongs and chain plus the clevis to use if I need the chain. Sometimes we need to plow a little snow to where we want to cut but usually the blade is off. I love to watch that saw operator. I just sit on the atv and sort of try to relax but that can be a problem relaxing..... Now you folks see why sometimes I don't post many pictures. My mind is on other things.
The bottom of that bar is over 18" off the ground, although it appears closer in the pic. It is what is called an optical illusion.

This storage box / saw carrier has turned out to be one of the best things that I did to that tractor.
