Crazy Times we are in the fifties today. Had to cancel the burbot fishing derby because of the unsafe ice. Stay safe, Warm and dry on the east coast. Thinking of you all way over here.

We're about to get ~1" in the next few hours. I'd gladly take a megastorm and be snowed in for a couple days. Our power lines are all buried, except the big towers that have no trees nearby, so our electrical outages are brief if they ever happen, unlike when I lived in Maine.

I keep telling my wife that there a lot of winter left, and that we'll get a good storm yet this winter. So far Abilene Texas has gotten more snow in one storm the other day ( 16+ inches) than we have had all season in Milwaukee. Our biggest snow event this winter has been 3.8". Up north hasn't been much better when it typically gets much more snow.

All prep now done here. Plows pointed into the snow... ;) Jeep's inside, JD's inside, quad's inside, generator's in place... all batteries are charging with Tenders. Fuel full, shovels by the doors, temp biz area for Giz under the shed roof behind the garage that I can get to from inside (hoping most of the 16" plus inches of blowing snow will stay out) The Liberty is burning nicely.

My honey's off to Portland. Juz me n the Giz monster...
Had an awesome visit with my son this morning about 45 minutes away. He's ready too. Bring it.........:smoke::D

I just did the last few preps... Moved about 4 days wood to the back door, and restocked the small shed from the outdoor stacks. Brought about 2 days worth inside as well so I dont have to go out the door first thing in the morning. Also moved the trash cans behind the snowblower so it has a straight shot at the driveway and pre-fueled it for tomorrow morning. I had test run the genny last week so I think Im good there. trucks are in the garage.

All gas cans are full. We are fully stocked for food and water, all the flashlights are charged and we have the usual stock of candles and such. Even checked that the backup sump pump deep cycle is fully charged (I can use that to charge cell phones also) Beer is in fridge. A couple more meetings to catch for work and then we chill out and watch the fun start.

I hope all of you fine folks in the storm path have no issues. It appears most of you are well prepared.
