It was going to be a pie but I ended up getting some good homemade bread this afternoon so it will now be a stew. My pig trotter is just about done simmering. My veggies are cut up and ready to go. Next step is to brown the chicken then combine it all into the dutch oven and cook for 45 mins. Final step is to pick all the meat off the bones and throw the meat back in with the veggies. more pics to come. 20150123_195550.jpg

Interesting combo! Not a fan of pig feet but the chicken on top looks good!

The pigs feet just adds a little pork flavor and thickens it up. It was very good. I forgot to take a pic of the finished stew.

I just can't get past where those pig feet have been! My buddy is polish and his mom just loves pig feet. I don't know if it's a polish thing, but he said it was.

LOL I know exactly where these pig feet where as I know the farmer. The butcher did a nice job cleaning them up. I just rinsed it real well before cooking. After it was done cooking I tore off all the edible parts and threw it in the stew pot.
