Got your heart set on a Stihl? I like the 251 but there are lots of great choices at the $350 price point.

I little bit more and you've got a Dolmar PS-510....... I've ran a 025 and MS250 and I'll take my dolly over either - more displacement, hp, and torque in a solid body. Cheers!

I bought one last March. Don't know nearly as much about saws as the other members here but it has served me well. I've used it in wood it probably wasn't designed to be used in but it has always done the job.

I am not really brand loyal but husqvarna and stihl are the most available in my area. Local echo dealer out of business. Other choices are big box stores. Hard to argue with stihl and a local small dealer (40 plus yrs) and personal service.

I am not the wealth of knowledge on saws as some here are but I have loved my MS250. I have used it on everything as it is my only saw. No I won't be able to cut down a giant sequoia but within reason I have never regretted buying it. Super reliability no problem in 3 years of cutting. :saw::yes:

I agree with this as well. 251 is nice.. But pricey. One can have a Dolmar 421 at my local dealer for $319... And it will spank the 251 ! Not taking anything away from the smaller Stihl's... As im a big fan. But im only willing to pay "used" prices for them lol !

Same here after 6 months. It's covered everything I've tried to cut with no problems. And the EasyStarting is nice for an old man! But they are expensive, you can get more saw for the same bucks. :saw::saw:
