Behind the house was a Cherry tree that had some dead limbs and was starting to rot toward the bottom so I dropped it and got it cut up. It has been way too long since I cut wood. We have moved and other things have been keeping me out of the woods. Last weekend I loaded wood with the boys and this weekend I got to play with the 550XP and the 046. Part of the tree was in a ditch so I hooked up some straps and pulled it to solid ground ( it was muddy, not solid).

The 046 is a beast. I limbed and cut some smaller stuff with the 550XP. When I fired up the 046 it put a smile on my face. It was made for the bigger stuff. image.jpg
After I was done I grabbed the splitters and split a little then my wife came out for some exercise. She is 5ft and 105 lbs. She does pretty good but said if it was up to her ability we would be burning propane for heat.

No matter that the wife is so small. It is just good to have her involved with the work.

That's a pretty big cherry. I've seen lots go that same way, rot out at the base. Makes good firewood :D :campfire:
